Domus Sessoriana lies inside an Archaeological complex surrounded by ruins of the Temple of Venus and Cupid. In the ancient times State councils were held, inside there is also the gorgeous Castrensian Amphitheatre which dates back to the epoch of the Emperor Eliogabalo (218-222). In the Amphitheatre there use to take place shows involving gladiator fights and battles between humans and wild beasts; now it hosts the Cistercian Vegetable Garden.
