Australian Museum

The standing exhibition includes Indigenous Australian, which is a tribute to the multicultural nature of Indigenous Australia; Skeletons, Birds, Insects, the Mineral Collections and Australia's ancient mega fauna.

The exhibitions are spread over three floors. Make sure you pick up the Highlights Self-Guided Tour brochure to help find your way around the Museum. Spend some time in the Search & Discovery room.

This rugged and beautiful region forms part of the Great Dividing Range, linking tropical north to temperate south, while dividing coastal cities from the vast Outback.

Included: Featherdale Wildlife seeing dingos, kangaroos, emus, wombats and koalas; photo stop at Hawkesbury River Lookout; climb into the mountains via the historic Macquarie townships of Richmond and Windsor; discover the remarkable beauty of Blue Mountains National Park;  take in the fabulous views from Govett's Leap Lookout; visit Katoomba; discover Leura.

Scenic World Options

Scenic Skyway - Australia's only horizontal passenger carrying cable car. It is a 7 minute ride 200 meters above the Jamison Valley where you can appreciate superb views of the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Mt Solitary and Orphan Rock. The Skyway operates every 10 minutes. This is payable direct.

Scenic Railway - This is the world's steepest incline railway. Travel through the tunnel and ancient rainforest as the railway descends 415 meters down the escarpment at a gradient of 52 degrees. The railway takes you to the rainforest boardwalk connecting to the Sceniscender platform and operates every 10 minutes. This is payable direct.

Sceniscender - The steepest aerial cable car in Australia will take you on a 545 meter ride into the World Heritage Listed rainforest of the Jamison valley. The Sceniscender is completely wheelchair accessible. This is payable direct.

Hot Air Balloon Ride

Look out one side of the basket and the Blue Mountains are at your feet, look out the other side... and on a clear day, the Sydney skyline and harbor glisten in the distance. Look below and be amazed that such green rolling fields are in such close proximity to the city.
We begin one hour before sunrise with a cup of tea or coffee and a flight briefing at Camden Airport (flights are daily at sunrise, weather permitting; pick you up from a central location in the Central Business District - Central City pickups incur an additional fee - or make your own way to Camden Airport, located approximately one hours drive from the Central Business District down the Hume Highway.)
Passengers are then transported to the chosen launch site. You can either help with the inflation of the balloon, or you are welcome to stand back and take photographs. You then get into the basket with our pilot and fly over the area. The morning is completed with a BBQ style breakfast and champagne.

Duration of either Tour: about four hours / minimum four people
Your flight will last 45-60 minutes depending on the wind speed and direction of the day. The landing is at the pilot's discretion and safety is our first concern.

Tjapukai Aboriginal Culture Park

In 1987, a cross-cultural group of entertainers created Australia's first Aboriginal dance theatre in the small village of Kuranda, near Cairns.
Tjapukai Dance Theatre offered the first ever opportunity for tourist visitors to experience and interact with Australia's 40,000 year old culture.

Tjapukai showcases the culture of the rainforest people of Tropical North Queensland.
