GAUCHO PARTY
Spend a night seeing what it is like to be a real gaucho! Live the life of an Argentine cowboy; ride horses, eat traditional gaucho foods from the grill, drink traditional gaucho wines and dance tango like they did back in the day. Bring out your inner cowboy or cowgirl.
LIVE MUSIC
The music scene in Buenos Aires is very much alive (it’s not all just Tango) and there are many pubs and clubs where local and international rock, jazz, reggae, punk, techno, dance, hip-hop, electronica or Caribbean bands perform. There are two newspaper sections that specifically list the week events and they are: In Página 12 newspaper, the section is called "No" and it comes out on Thursdays while Clarín newspaper has its own section called "Si" and it comes out on Fridays.
THEATER
There are many theaters in Buenos Ares, concentrated mainly in the city center. We highly recommend that you visit the prestigious and renowned Teatro Colón where many musical and cultural events take place. Other shows can be found at: Centro Cultural General San Martín, Teatro del Otro Lado, Teatro La Voltereta, Teatro Nacional Cervantes, Teatro San Martín, La Trastienda and more.
POLO
The Argentine polo team has been the uninterrupted world champion since 1949. This place of privilege is mainly because of world-renowned skill of local players and the excellence of the horses. The polo season starts in August, usually in fields located in Northern Buenos Aires and ends in December at the Campo Argentino de Polo. Get tickets and prepare for a fun and extremely energetic mix of tourists, locals and even European loyalty.
SHOPPING
Florida Street: This is the city's most famous walking street and an important shopping area to find bargain leather goods, shoes and clothing as well as fabulous restaurants and cafés. Depending on the time of the day there can be many street artists entertaining tourists with tango dancing. We recommend that you visit the "Galerías Pacifico" (Florida 753), one of the most elegant shopping galleries with its dome painted by prestigious artist, Castagnino. Santa Fé Avenue: is another popular shopping area. The most renowned stores are located here as well as galleries and boutiques.
Mendoza
CUYO PAST MUSEUM
This fascinating museum occupies sixteen rooms and four elaborate courtyards. It shows the regional history of the Provinces of Mendoza, San Juan and La Rioja in the XIX century. Learn about the history of this area and view fascinating archeological finds. One room is devoted to Liberator Gral. don José de San Martín, where visitors can see an exact replica of his famous curve saber. Delve into the rich background of this area known as “the land of good sunshine and good wine.”
HORSEBACK RIDING
Mendoza, capital of the Cuyo region, offers a wide variety of activities that range from relaxing to adventurous. Vast networks of riding trails take you through the astonishing scenery of Los Andes Mountain Range. Explore a large part of the mountain range known as pre-cordillera. Weather here is normally very mild and known for having the gift of cloudless skies.
MOUNTAIN HIKING AND BIKING - the Inca Trail
The Mendoza province is a land of intense beauty. The landscape’s diversity of vineyards reaching out to the horizon and the mighty Aconcagua looming above creates a stark contrast. There are hiking and biking trails for every level from beginner to expert. For those who want to venture into the high
altitudes: past the Puente del Inca is the main entrance into the Aconcagua National Park. The park is a place of pristine and awe-inspiring beauty; an appropriate frame for the highest peak outside of the Himalayas, Aconcagua (22,831 ft).
